League Race #4 - Lake Natoma
vs Marin Rowing Club, Capital Crew, Deepwater Rowing Association. Download the preliminary race schedule (pdf, 48KB)
The drive to Lake Natoma takes about an hour and a half in light Sunday traffic. Parking is available at the site and costs $7.
Here are some rules from the Park brochure:
* Drinks in plastic bottles only.
* Dogs must be on leash at all times.
* No swimming near the racecourse or by the boat launching areas.
This is by far the best spectator venue of the racing season, with a long sandy beach opposite the finish line and a level bike/walk trail all the way to the start line. The yellow BHS Crew banner will be on our tent so our viewing area should be easy to find. You should bring folding chairs for the beach area and the weather report so far is for mild temperatures and cloudy. As usual, pack enough food for your family as the team will be providing food for the rowers and coxswains only.
The race should be over at about 1pm and then the team must be driven back to JLAC for mandatory boat unloading and rerigging. Team should be released from JLAC by 4pm.
