2010 Summer Youth Rowing program
Row Oakland's Summer Youth Rowing at Lake Merritt provides a great chance for teens to get on the water.
The program is designed to introduce the sport of rowing to the youth (ages 12-18) of Oakland and the East Bay. Participants will have fun learning new skills in a safe environment with old friends and new friends. Class size is a maximum of 16 for sweep rowing and 10 for sculling. This low-cost, Oakland Parks and Recreation department-sponsored series of week-long camps for beginner rowers is run by BHS Crew Coach Chris Dadd and staffed by BHS Crew students. Information on fees, waivers and more is available on the Lake Merritt Rowing Club website.
