Medals and many new faces portend a good season for BHS Crew

Berkeley High Crew came away with medal upon medal at the Bair Island Regatta, a day of timed head races on the lagoon in Foster City. In an exciting preview to the 2009-2010 racing year, the men's lightweight 4+ won both the open weight and lightweight categories and the women's lightweight 4+ ran away from their competition. The men's quad (4x+) and the women's novice 8+ won their races, too, before the two lightweight fours joined together to win the Mixed 8+.

Novice parents joined returning parents on the shore, bringing their energy and enthusiasm in support of the rowers. The BHS crew family has a great many new members this year!

After a great showing in its sole fall tune-up, the team moves indoors for a winter of land training. Can't wait to see what hatches in the spring.
