Payment Info

We are proud to be a public school team! However, we receive negligible financial support from the district. Our organization is a volunteer-run non-profit, and we work very hard to keep our costs down and make Berkeley High Crew as accessible as possible. Our fees are far lower than other local club crews, which have monthly fees more than double ours. Our participant fees cover costs associated with our boats, boathouse, coaching staff, regattas, scholarships, and insurance.

Installment Payments

TeamSnap's default registration is set to the installment payment option. If you'd like to turn off the installment option, you will be invoiced for a single lump sum. For the installment option, we collect 10 payments: your initial installment with registration and then monthly October through June. Registration fees are not refundable, but future payments may be canceled if an athlete leaves the team by notifying the athlete's coach and the Registrar. 

Please note that TeamSnap only allows installment payments if you use a credit card. If you use ACH, TeamSnap requires a single lump sum payment.  

Volunteer Imperative

We are a volunteer-run non-profit, and all families are asked to contribute twenty volunteer hours per athlete during the course of the season. These are expected regardless of payment arrangement. BHS Crew thrives with teamwork! Remote, hybrid, and in-person roles available. Volunteer sign-up here! Many hands make light work.

Rowerships

BHS Crew is committed to ensuring that any BHS student can participate regardless of ability to pay. If you qualify for Free Lunch, you will receive a full rowership; please choose the rowership option when filling out the registration form and you will be contacted individually to submit your letter from the district. If you don't qualify for Free Lunch but would like to request a partial rowership, please also choose the rowership option when filling out the registration form and you will be contacted individually regarding options that fit your situation. Thank you!

Donations

To help support our rowership program, we provide an opportunity for families who are able to contribute beyond the standard registration fee to make a donation. If you are able to donate, you will have the choice to select a donation level with your registration that will apply to your monthly installment payments. Thank you in advance to those of you who are able to provide this additional support! Berkeley Crew is a 501(c)3 organization. Our Tax ID number is 94-2976226. The charitable donation portion can be tax deductible.
