Come out and try rowing with us! Berkeley Crew has offered a summer program since 2009, providing local students (ages 12+) a chance to try this unique, growing sport with the Berkeley High Crew coaches, alumni, and current team members. Summer 2026, we will be offering three week-long sessions for Learn-to-Row and four Varsity Camp weeks.

This camp provides a fun introduction to the sport of crew. Campers learn the basics from the Berkeley High coaches and also get to meet some of our current varsity student-athletes. This camp will focus on the development of basic rowing skills using rowing machines, our 16-person training barge, and 8-person racing shells.
Our Learn-to-Row camps are designed for new or inexperienced rowers, ages 12 and up. No experience required. Rowers are welcome to sign up for one or more camps, space permitting.
$350 per week. There is a limit of 20 participants per week.
Varsity Camps are an opportunity for rowers and coxswains with at least one year of competitive rowing experience at Berkeley High to continue developing their skills. These camps are a great time to work on both sweep and sculling technique and also include a strength and conditioning component. Participation is optional. Rowers are welcome to sign up for one or more camps, space permitting.
$200 per week. There is a limit of 30 participants per week.
What to bring
Participants should come dressed for outdoor, physical activity. Please avoid overly baggy shorts, as they can get caught in the equipment.
